Can Online Marketing really be that easy?

Do you feel overwhelmed by all the choices available for marketing your business online? Perhaps you’ve had some advice about what to do, but don’t know how to make it happen? Or maybe you’ve been in the game for a while now, but are stuck for inspiration to kick things up a notch.

Don’t worry, I’ve been there too. Still am! I run my own website and email marketing, I blog every fortnight, and am on Facebook and Google+. I haven’t even looked at Twitter or LinkedIn yet, let alone videos or podcasts. It’s a constant learning curve, trying to keep up with it all and deciding what next to try in the world of online marketing.

In many ways we’re lucky to have so much choice. The fact that solo businesses can do their own marketing today and unleash the power of online channels makes it far more approachable and affordable than traditional forms of media and advertising.

A downside of Doing It Yourself is that you’re not getting the advice of experts who manage these types of marketing for multiple clients all day, every day.

Well, I’m not an expert in all these areas, but I do know where you can tap into a rich resource of expert knowledge – via a great new book that’s been released in Australia this yearIt’s That Easy! Online Marketing 3.0 was put together by Ludwina Dautovic (of Red Tent Radio fame).

Ludwina Dautovic is an inspirational entrepreneur, broadcaster, speaker, publisher and mother from Melbourne Victoria. She has often been referred to as Australia’s premier broadcasting voice for small business, is a multi-award winning business woman, accredited master coach and has been listed in the Who’s Who of Australian Women for four consecutive years.

Learn from the experts in “It’s That Easy! Online Marketing 3.0”

Ludwina has pulled together a collective work that includes herself and 17 authors who are each leading experts in their field.  The book’s title suggests that “it’s that easy”, and it certainly does simplify some complex topics. It is not prescriptive, and you certainly don’t need to action every one of the marketing methods, but I found the whole thing an easy read and have bookmarked sections to explore more thoroughly in the future.

Because each chapter is devoted to one topic, you can dip into it wherever you like and then take time to implement and test each strategy. Perhaps you want to first perfect your “online branding” (chapter 12), then proceed to “dominate your niche as a market leader” (chapter 16), before learning how to “turn what you know into a high-paying membership site” (chapter 7).

Even better, you get so much more than the text contained within its pages. Each chapter introduces you to the author (and their websites and blogs) where each includes a special online offer accessible only to readers of “It’s That Easy! Online Marketing 3.0″.  These extras provide really valuable information, and in some cases step-by-step formulas you can follow to help you succeed.

You can’t afford to miss out. Only $12 will secure you a digital copy of the book for instant download, and access to thousands of dollars worth of advice. Buy a copy from my website.

Examples from the book:

Here are some insightful gems that I highlighted while reading the book:

  • Now more than ever it’s crucial that you have a media channel where you can engage with your market and they can engage with you and your content. Your customers are going to expect it more and more particularly because of the uprise in social media usage.

(Chapter 2 – How Small Businesses can become Big Players by Using New Media Channels, by Ludwina Dautovic, who produced http://www.HowToPodcastLikeaPro.com/ and offers readers free tips on how to optimise your videos).

  • You don’t need to be a good writer to get started with your offline publicity. You just need to get started! And you need a great formula… the structure of your media release is key to making it successful.

(Chapter 11 – Online PR: The Greatest Credibility Booster Tool, by Kate Engler, The Publicity Princess) Plus Kate gives you online access to her secret formulas.

  • Applying the principles of leverage to the way you operate your business is often the difference between success and failure. But it will always get your business to run smoother, more automated and give you freedom to create the life you love.

(Chapter 15 – How to have your Online Cake and Leverage it too, by Melanie Summer – who runs a multi-million dollar company and now only works 5-8 hours per week on her business!)

  • Many business owners wrongly believe that only large companies can afford an integrated marketing strategy. As such, they focus on single marketing channels and miss out on the greater opportunity… A business that relies on a single marketing channel isn’t a safe business… as anyone who’s dropped their Google ranking after a Google update would know.

(Chapter 10 – Tying it All Together and Supercharging your Marketing through Integration, by Samuel Junghenn of Think Big Online)

  • Optimise your videos for your web pages. Remember to include written content whenever you use a video on your web pages. By embedding a video you are not embedding the description and title that you setup on YouTube. You also need to include some written content because a post or page with just a video does not have enough information for the search engines to know what that page is about.

(Chapter 13 – Getting People and Search Engines to Love your Website, by Heather Porter)

  • Never be afraid to ask for assistance. There is always someone you can turn to for help when you are starting out.

(Chapter 14 – Transitioning an Offline Business to Online, by Lyn Lucas – who is, by the way, a 70-year-old lawyer who has done just that!)

And that, dear readers, is what this book is all about – assistance. You don’t have to work it all out yourself. Not only does the book give you succinct advice from these 18 incredible people, they also share so much more in the special offers available online, mostly free and exclusive to readers of the book. Plus Ludwina has set up a private Facebook group that you can join once you have purchased the book, giving you access to a community that includes the authors and other readers.
